본고는 인공지능(AI) 시대의 요구에 부응하는 새로운 문법 교육 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 현행 문법 교육은 AI 기술의 기반이 되는 어휘 의미 이론을 충분히 다루고 있지 않아, 단어 임베딩 기술을 다루는 ‘인공지능 수학’ 과목과의 내용적 단절을 야기한다. 이러한 단절은 학생들에게 인식론적 혼란을 야기하고 문법 지식의 실용성을 체감하기 어렵게 만드는 문제로 이어진다. 이에 본 연구는 교과 간 단절을 해소하고 문법 지식의 실용성을 제고하기 위한 방안으로, AI 기술의 원리가 되는 분포 가설을 포함하는 새로운 성취기준과 단어 임베딩 원리를 경험해 볼 수 있는 탐구 활동을 제안하였다. 본 연구의 제안하는 교육 방안을 통해, 학습자가 AI 시대 문법 지식의 효용성을 깨닫고 교과 간 분절된 지식을 연결함으로써, 미래 사회가 요구하는 융합적 사고력과 AI 리터러시를 함양하는 데 기여할 수 있기를 기대한다.
Abstract
This study proposes a new direction for grammar education to meet the demands of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) era. Current grammar education overlooks key lexical semantic theories that underpin AI technology, creating a disconnection with subjects like 'AI Mathematics' that cover word embedding. This gap causes epistemological confusion for students and obscures the practical utility of grammatical knowledge. To bridge this inter-curricular gap, this study proposes new achievement standards incorporating the distributional hypothesis—a core principle of AI—and suggests inquiry-based activities for students to experience the principles of word embedding. The proposed educational methods are expected to help learners realize the utility of grammar in the AI era, connect fragmented knowledge across subjects, and cultivate the convergent thinking and AI literacy required by future society.
