The purpose of this study is to provide a basic materials in traffic safety policy making by analysing the effectiveness of traffic safety education Data of drivers's behavior for 5 years, whose licenses were suspended for traffic law violations, were collected in Seongnam city, Gyeongi Do since 2003. The results are as follows. First, the rate of traffic law violation is lower in educated group than that of uneducated. Second, traffic law violation frequency and license suspended career are less in educated group than that of uneducated. Third, the duration of traffic law observance is longer in educated group than that of uneducated. Logistic Regression Model was developed, and odds ratio shows the probability of traffic law violation in uneducated driver's group is 5.3 times higher than educated. Periodic and well-organized traffic safety education will contribute to reducing traffic law violation, and should be expanded.
