학술논문 저자의 특성과 생산성에 관한 연구: 한국행정학보를 대상으로(1967-2010)

본 연구는 행정학분야의 대표적 학술지인 한국행정학보에 창간호(1967년)부터 현재(2010년)까지 논문을 게재한 저자들을 대상으로 하여 저자들의 기본적 특성과 Lotka 법칙과 80/20 규칙을 통한 저자의 생산성을 검증하는데 연구의 초점이 있다. 저자의 특성을 보면, 공동저술 경향이 증가되고 있으며, 특히 2인 공저의 경향이 매우 높아지고 있다. 또한 대부분의 저자가 박사학위를 소지하고 있으며, 최근 들어 박사학위과정 중의 연구자가 논문을 게재하는 경향이 조금씩 늘어나고 있다. 박사학위의 취득지역은 국내․외가 비슷한 비율을 보이고 있으나, 국외의 경우 미국에 지나치게 치우쳐 있다. 평균적으로 한 명의 저자가 2회 정도 논문을 게재하고 있음을 볼 때, 일시성이 강하다고 볼 수 있다. 또한 전체적으로 보나, 처음 게재하는 경우만을 보나 30대에 처음 게재하는 연구자가 많았으며, 게재년도와 학위취득년도와의 차이는 학위취득 후 10년 이내의 경우가 많았다. 생산성은 각 기별로 α값과 κ값이 다양하게 나타났다. Lotka법칙은 계산된 α값에 대하여 제1기부터 제5기까지와, 1967년-2010년 전체를 대상으로 하였을 때 모두 적합하였다. 80/20규칙은 계산된 κ값에서 제1기부터 제5기까지와, 1967년-2010년 전체를 대상으로 하였을 때 모두 적합하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore the characteristics and productivity of authors appeared on Korean Public Administration Review(KPAR) from the first version of it published in 1967 to current issue. Lotka's Law and 80/20 Rule were applied to achieve the research goals. Following is the main results of the study. First, the tendency of coauthorship has been increased, especially co-work of two authors. Second, most of authors completed their doctoral degree, but recently the inclination of ABD's (all but dissertation) participation has been increased. The ratio of domestic and international degree appeared to be similar, but international degree leaned toward America too much. Third, when considering one scholar published two articles on average, steady publication by the same authors was not found. Most of scholars who published their first article belonged to 30' and also they energetically participated in research and publication work. Many scholars published their research work within 10 years after completing their final degree. Finally, productivity was different according to the terms classified for this study.
