산학협력 선도대학 육성사업 성과 분석: 학생 성과를 중심으로

초록

본 연구는 대표적 산학협력 지원사업인 ‘산학협력 선도대학 (LINC) 육성사업’이 학생 측면에서 기대한 성과를 거두고 있는지 또한 어떠한 교육환경 요인들이 학생차원의 성과를 매개하고 있는지를 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 우선 LINC 사업의 학생차원의 성과를 검증하기 위해 LINC 사업을 4년간 수행한 대학의 학생들이 경향점수매칭(PSM) 방법을 활용하여 추출한 비LINC 대학의 학생들에 비하여 진로준비도, 직무 역량, 대학교육 만족도 등에서 더 나은 성과를 보이고 있는지를 다층모형분석을 통해 분석하였다. 또한 LINC 사업 수행이 학생성과에 미치는 영향을 어떠한 산학교육 환경요소가 매개하는 지를 파악하기 위해 매개효과 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, LINC 사업은 직무역량 제고에는 긍정적 영향을 미친 반면 진로준비도나 대학교육 만족도에서는 그 효과가 분명하게 나타나지 않았다. 매개효과 분석에서는 대학교육 만족도에 캡스톤 디자인 이수학생과 창업강좌 이수학생 변인이 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 그 외 변수들은 매개효과가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 도출된 분석결과를 바탕으로 향후 산학협력 지원사업의 성과제고를 위한 정책적 고려 점을 제시하였다.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to analyze whether or not the ‘Leaders in INdustry-university Cooperation (LINC)’ program is achieving the desired result in terms of learning outcomes of students. To attain this research purpose, this study, first of all, analyzes the performance of the LINC program, other universities without the LINC program was compared with the universities that has the LINC program. The most suitable group for comparison was extracted by using the propensity score matching (PSM). Second, in order to objectively analyze learning outcomes of the students, the level of performance of students in terms of the LINC project was considered with the environment (university location, university size) taken into account. For this examination, the multi-level model analysis was performed considering the student data structure embedded into the university. Lastly, the mediating effect analysis was used in order to determine whether or not the effects of the LINC project on the student were mediated by the university-industry education environment. The result of the study can be summarized as follows. First, the LINC project positively affected the job competence of the students but it did not show any effect on their career readiness and their university education satisfactory level. Second, the mediating effect analysis on the variable effect of the degree of university education satisfaction shows that the number of student completing capstone design course and the number of student completing starting business course had a mediating effect. However, the rest of the educational environmental variables showed no mediating effect. Based on the research results, the study suggests improvements on the industry-academia programs in order for them to achieve the desired result.
