중소건설업체의 생존분석에 관한 실증 연구 : 기술보증기금의 지원을 받은 기업을 중심으로

본 연구의 목적은 기술보증기금의 중소건설업체에 대한 자료를 활용하여 신용보증 중소건설업체의 생존율을 파악하고, 관심 있는 개별기업 그룹 간의 생존율 차이를 검정하며, 마지막으로 생존에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하는 것이다. 이러한 목적을 수행하기 위하여 카플란-마이어 분석과 콕스의 비례위험모형이 활용되었다. 1998년 9월 1일부터 2008년 3월 31일까지 설립된 기술신용보증기금의 건설보증기업 1,172개가 표본으로 선택되었으며, 생존기간은 1998년 9월 1일을 시작시점으로 Type III로 계산되었다. 신기술사업자여부별, 기업형태별, 업종별, 종업원 규모별 등 7개 그룹이 카플란-마이어 분석에 활용되었으며, 콕스의 비례위험모형에는 재무비율의 가중평균 등이 활용되었다. 도출된 검정결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 설정된 연구기간하에서 전체 신용보증 중소건설업체의 평균 생존율은 약 71개월로 추정되었다. 둘째, 신용보증 중소건설업체의 생존기간에 활동성 지표인 자기자본 회전율과 생산성 지표인 부가가치율이 증가할수록 위험률이 낮아짐을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 그룹 간 비교에 있어서 토목건설업의 생존기간은, 전기 및 통신공사업을 제외한 나머지 업종의 생존기간보다 길다는 것을 알 수 있었다, 넷째, CEO의 종사업력 구간이 늘어날수록 생존기간이 짧게 추정되었다. 다섯째, 종업원규모 구간이 증가할수록 생존기간이 길어짐을 알 수 있었다. 여섯째, 신기술사업자가 비신기술사업자보다 생존기간이 짧다는 결과에 대해서는 추후적인 조사연구가 필요할 것이다.
Abstract
The guarantee system has played an important role in small and medium businesses being invested from a capital market. This study has estimated survival rates of the guaranteed small and medium businesses in construction industry from the KIBO Technology Fund which is carried in the higher portion of the system and compared the survival rates among the groups(e.g., the detailed industries). Also, this study has investigated various factors that affect survival of firms under construction industry. The Kaplan-Meier analysis and Cox-Proportional hazards model are used to achieve research objectives. The results will be applied to support risk management of guarantee programs and the research method can be applied to the past studies and new studies concerning construction domain.
