유토피아적 思惟와 主體의 美學 - 千雲寧 小說을 중심으로 -

본고는 千雲寧 소설에 나타난 ‘身體’에 대한 강박증의 起源과 근대성을 경험한 主體의 思惟 특징을 살피는 데 그 목적이 있다. 작가를 둘러싼 최근의 論爭들은 대부분 주체와 현실 사이에서의 갈등 양상을 설명하는 비평적 談論에 그 역량이 집중된 관계로 사유의 起源과 그 특징을 해명하는 데 있어서 未洽한 측면이 적지 않다. 이를 補完하기 위해 본고에서는 慾望의 都市 空間, 主體的 삶의 形象化 方式, 浪漫的 陳述과 神話의 悲劇, 毁損된 身體와 같은 유토피아적 思惟를 表象하는 특징적 局面들을 세밀히 분석하였다. 이 작업을 통해 천운영의 소설이 近代 理性의 企劃에서 脫走하려는 주체의 유토피아적 사유를 반영하고 있다는 사실과 ‘食慾’, ‘慾望’, ‘훼손된 身體’ 같은 국면들이 후기 자본주의에 포위된 主體들의 양가적 감정과 동시대의 無意識을 담지하고, 당대 문학의 한계와 美學的 實踐을 수행하고 있음을 확인하였다.
Abstract
Utopian Thoughts and Aesthetics of Subject - On the Basis of Cheon, Woon-young’s, Novels - Lee, Pyeong-jeon This paper is intended to look upon the origin of obsession with ‘body' and the characteristic of the thoughts of subject who has experienced the modernity in Cheon, Woon-young's novels. For the recent controversies are mainly centered on critical discourse explaining aspects of conflict between subject and reality, it is not sufficient to make clear the origin of thoughts and its characteristics. To make up for these insufficient things, this paper classified characteristic phases to three chapters and analyzed in detail as follows: (1) Tragedy of subject in the urban desire, (2) Borrowing of the romantic thoughts and the meaning of naiveness, (3) Relationship of the subject and the perspective of 'death'. This work made two points clear as follows. First, her novels are originated from the utopian thoughts of subject to escape from the structure of modern reason. Second, the phases like ‘appetite', ‘desire', and ‘impaired body' are the record of utopian thoughts filled with ambivalence of subjects indulging in the post-capitalism. This interpretation of Cheon, Woon-young's thoughts of utopia is based on the recognition of the fact that writer's desire is similar to the contemporary unconsciousness and reflects limitation of contemporary literature and its aesthetic practices.
