A Study on the Change of Connective Endings in Newspaper Texts

本稿는 近代 新聞 텍스트와 現代 新聞 텍스트에 사용된 連結 語尾의 形態와 意味를 분석하여 連結 語尾의 使用 樣相에 어떠한 變化가 있었는지를 검토하였다. 近代 新聞 텍스트에서는 49種의 연결 어미가 1,860회(3.85%), 現代 新聞 텍스트에서는 29種의 연결 어미가 964회(1.39%) 사용되어 現代 新聞 텍스트보다 近代 新聞 텍스트에서 더 多樣한 種類의 연결 어미가 사용되었으며 연결 어미의 使用 比率도 더 높았음을 알 수 있다. 連結 語尾의 形態를 검토한 결과 近代 新聞 텍스트에서는 ‘-어, -고, -니, -, -면, -며, -ㄴ즉’, 現代 新聞 텍스트에서는 ‘-어, -고, -며, -면, -어서, -면서, -나’ 등의 연결 어미가 높은 頻度로 사용되었다. 連結 語尾의 意味를 검토한 결과 近代 新聞 텍스트에서는 ‘羅列, 先行, 背景, 原因, 方法, 條件, 對照’, 現代 新聞 텍스트에서는 ‘羅列, 先行, 同時, 原因, 對照, 方法, 條件’ 등의 意味로 해석되는 경우가 높은 比率로 나타났다.
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to examine the change of connective endings in modern and contemporary newspaper texts. In chapter Ⅱ, we examined the form and frequency of connective endings in modern and contemporary newspaper texts. Connective endings of 49 types are used 1860 times in modern newspaper texts and connective endings of 29 types are used 964 times in contemporary newspaper texts. Connective endings of high frequency are ‘-eo, -go, -ni, -neunde, -myeo' in modern newspaper texts and connective endings of high frequency are ‘-eo, -go, -myeo, -myeon, -eoseo' in contemporary newspaper texts. In chapter Ⅲ, we examined the meaning of connective endings in modern and contemporary newspaper texts. Meanings of high frequency are ‘enumeration, back- ground, cause, temporal preceding, manner' in modern newspaper texts and meanings of high frequency are ‘enumeration, temporal preceding, simultaneity, cause, contrast' in contemporary newspaper texts.
