境界人의 抗日武裝鬪爭과 또 다른 ‘고향찾기’의 旅程 －김세일의 「홍범도」를 중심으로－

Abstract

‘Hong Beom Do' is Soviet-Korean literature. It is a resistant liter- ature and historical record novel from an Korean literary point of view. Also, it is a Diasporic Literature from a Soviet-Korean literary point of view. The novel ‘Hong Beom Do' shows Soviet-Korean another hometown. As time goes on, this work can be sorted into ‘①Disappearance from home → ②Army raised in the cause of justice → ③Look for another hometown'. At this point, socialist realism cuts through the center of the novel. The work ‘Hong Beom Do' is a resistant literature. The resistant way change from ‘nationalism' of the beginning to ‘proletarian interna- tionalism' of the second half. So, ‘the Armed Struggle Against Japan' must be put in not only to see in nationalism, but also to see in internation- alism. This novel tend to view Yangban(landowner), the capitalist class, Japanese imperialism(pro-Japanese group), White Army, king, feudalism, etc in a negative light. So, the cause of the free city incident is national factionalism. At that time, Koreans was perverse: anticommunism, anti- Soviet etc. Meanwhile, the characters of ‘Bak Yeong Ran' is a woman. It’s not that difficult to see the intrinsic worth in which ‘Bak Yeong Ran' in this novel represent. She is portrayed as a hero. She goes out to evenly armed struggle with men. The quintessence of this novel can be viewed as a representation of the struggle toward gender equality and the abolition of class distinctions. Because of this, obviously, the subject of ‘the Armed Struggle Against Japan' is the proletariat. So, in the second half of the work, Koreans settle down in Soviet. Soviet was another hometown to Korean proletariat. Thus, we need to read an odyssey to look for another home- town of proletariat in this novel. In conclusion, this novel denies the capi- talist class, Japanese imperialism(pro-Japanese group), White Army, king, feudalism, etc. And, the goal of this novel is to make national liberation and the abolition of class distinctions. The resistant way changed from ‘nationalism' to ‘proletarian internationalism' in ‘Hong Beom Do'. ‘Hong Beom Do' is a Diasporic Literature. The cause of diaspora is alienation and fac- tionalism in the same ethnic.
