犧牲敍事는 한 공동체가 직면한 심각한 문제를 주인공의 희생을 통해서 해결하는 이야기이다. 여기서 당면한 문제가 초인간적인 문제일 경우, 주인공의 희생은 초자연적인 존재나 힘과 교섭하는 祭儀的 樣相을 띠게 된다. 犧牲敍事는 犧牲祭儀의 절차와 구조를 잘 보여주며, 또한 祭儀 過程에서 가장 핵심적인 요소인 犧牲羊을 중심으로 이야기가 전개된다.바리데기, 지네장터, 심청전은 장르는 다르지만 犧牲敍事의 기본 골격은 동일하며, 주인공인 犧牲羊의 성격 또한 유사하다. 동시에 犧牲의 樣相과 意味는 각 편에서 다양하게 나타난다. 희생양을 둘러싼 犧牲祭儀의 양상도 이와 마찬가지이다. 이와 같이 犧牲敍事는 주인공의 희생을 통해 이야기의 主題 내지 價値를 形象化한다. 이를 통해 傳承集團의 文化的 價値體系와 文學的 象徵에 대한 접근이 가능할 것이다.
Abstract
The Study on the Structure and Character of the Sacrifice-story Oh, Se-jeong Sacrifice-stories show that a community solves problems through the sacrifice of the heroin. Generally, when these problems are the supernatural or calamities that are beyond humane's power, the sacrifice of the heroines are concerned to communicate with the supernatural- beings or power. So that case are related with the ritual. These stories have common process and structure of the sacrifice-ritual. Especially in these stories, the heroines have common characteristic of the scapegoat. <Baridegi>, <Jine-Jangter(the market place of centipede>, and <Simcheong-story> are not same genre, but they are sacrifice-stories considering the structure and character. To study that sacrifice-story, the ritual structure and scapegoat in these stories helps to understand the moral code and literary symbols of the community.
