Abstract

Theme-Consciousness Showed in Discourse of Narrative Gasa Ham, Bok-hee The aim of this thesis is to study theme consciousness showed in discourse of narrative Gasa in the latter period of the Joseon Dynasty. Narrative Gasa practically began to come to the latter period of the Joseon Dynasty society owing to the expension of narrative trend as the result that Gasa accepted narrative elements. Then I have examined how the discourse kept the influence of each individual and group after they realized their real lives and the outside circumstances. That is, the method of discourse construction do Gasa, and to clarify correlation between the method and narrator's consciousness orientation. I investigate them by means of the method of discourse analysis. I have attempted to examine the relevant traits of the relationship between the discourse type and the charging group's consciousness. By this study I can be sure that theme-consciousness of discourse shows maily actual cognition to expense the inner desire expression, critical consciousness using negative message and the duplicate consciousness between the confrontation and the orientation.
