李箱 揷畵 硏究 －小說 揷畵를 中心으로－

이 글에서는 李箱이 그린 소설 삽화들을 소설 텍스트와의 關係를 기준으로 ‘本來的 機能의 揷畵’, ‘美術的 機能의 揷畵’, ‘混合的 機能의 揷畵’로 나누어 그 특징을 살펴보았다. 소설의 삽입그림으로서의 기능이 우세하게 나타나는 그림은 『小說家 仇甫氏의 一日』 삽화로, 이들 그림은 소설 속에 나타난 過去와 現在의 時間이나 觀念의 世界를 재구성하고 있다. 또 소설과 함께 제시되어 있지만 소설 텍스트와의 관련성이 적고 오히려 獨立된 미술 텍스트로서의 裝飾的 機能이 우세하게 나타나는 미술적 기능의 삽화로 「童骸」의 그림을 들 수 있다. 한편 소설 「날개」의 삽화 2점은 소설 본문, 소설의 시작에 제시된 ‘아포리즘’ 부분과 함께 장식적 기능을 하는 동시에 「날개」의 의미를 형성하는 데 기여를 하고 있어 삽화 본래의 기능을 하는 ‘혼합적 기능의 삽화’로 볼 수 있다.
Abstract
This paper focuses on a Study of Ri-sang's illustrations that are specified in his novel-illustrations. Recognizing the relations of a text, I noticed that his illustrations demonstrate three different features as following : illustrations operating original functions, artistic functions, and mixed functions. With regards to novel illustrations, Park, Taewon's novel, One day of novelist Gubo(小說家 仇甫氏의 一日) exhibits one of the best painting. Through the constructed or reconstructed time of the past and present or conceptual world in the novel, he abstracted the images in his novel and used strategies to arrange it continuously. And artistic illustration that was in the novel but had weak connection with it and was superior in artistic functions can be the illustration of the novel Donghae(童骸). Withal two illustrations of the novel The Wings(날개) can be an example of the illustrations of mixed functions because they performed both the decorative function with a body of novel and 'aphorism' which was in the head of novel and the original function to create the meaning of the work.
