본 연구는 통합보육시설에서 통합교육의 실제를 담당하고 있는 두 전문가인 일반교사와 통합지원교사의 현재 역할 수행과 교사가 인식하는 역할 수행에 있어서 실행도·중요도의 수준과 차이를 알아봄으로, 협력교수의 효과적인 실행에 대한 정보를 제공하고 일반교사와 통합지원교사의 협력 교수에 있어 효율적이고 체계적인 실행에 기초 자료를 도출함을 목적으로 시행되었다. 본 연구는 서울특별시에 소재하고 있는 국공립 통합보육시설로 실제 유아교사와 통합지원교사가 함께 배치되어 있는 49개 기관 155명(일반교사 76명, 통합지원교사 79명)을 대상으로 설문조사 하였다. 본 연구 결과, 첫째, 일반교사와 통합지원교사 두 집단 간 중요도 인식차이는 두 집단 공히 전체 영역에 대하여 ‘대체로 그렇다’는 3.0수준 이상으로 협력의 중요성을 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 회의시간·전문지식·교육계획·교육평가 등 4개 영역에 대해서는 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 실행도에 있어서는 일반교사와 통합지원교사 모두 거의 모든 영역에서 ‘대체로 그렇다.’인 3.0 수준이상을 보였다. 통합지원교사의 경우 회의시간에 대하여 ‘거의 아니다’인 2.0 수준을 보여 협력 시간에 어려움을 겪는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 협력의 주요 범주별 일반교사와 통합지원교사 두 집단 내에서 중요도와 실행도 차이에서는 두 집단 모두 중요하다고 인식하는 수준이 실행하는 수준 보다 더 높게 나타났다. 넷째, 협력 시 필요한 부분으로 일반교사와 통합지원교사 모두 공동의 목표 설정을 최우선 순위로 인식했으며, 협력 시 힘든 부분에 대해서는 두 집단 모두 협력할 시간적 여유가 없음을 꼽았다. 또한 협력을 위한 개선방안으로 모두 통합에 따른 업무 경감의 일환인 통합학급 아동의 인원 감축과 협력교수와 관련한 직무연수를 제시하였다. 다섯째, 개방형 질문에 대해 일반교사와 통합지원교사 모두가 협력 교수 개선이 필요한 부분에 대하여는 협력교사 간 인간적인 이해와 대화, 업무량 경감을 위한 교사 대 아동비율 축소, 서류의 간소화 등을 제시하고 있고, 협력에 있어 가장 어려운 점에 대하여는 협력시간 확보 즉, 협력 시간 부족, 통합에 대한 인식 부족을 제기하였다.
Abstract
The cooperation with related personnels is the one of the prerequisite components for the successful inclusive education. This study was to represent the conditions on the cooperative teaching between teachers of early childhood education and of early childhood special education(or the supporting teacher for inclusion) in the inclusive class. The data were collected with the importance and the current implementation of the cooperative teaching based on recognition of two group teachers. The barriers and suggestions to implement the cooperation in the class were also investigated. In this study, 76 early childhood teachers and 79 early childhood special teachers(total 155) in 49 inclusive public child care and education centers located at Seoul were participated. The surveys were made that included with the informations on backgrounds, and 10 categories of role implementation and cooperation(the goal setting of cooperative teaching, the personal relationship, the meeting time, the professional knowledge, the construction of educational environment, the instructional planning and implementation, evaluation, the behavioral management, the parent counseling, the correlations with community). The results of this study were as followed. First, the recognitions of the current role implementation on the cooperation by two groups were relatively high. The goal setting was higher in the group of early childhood teachers, and the professional knowledge was vice versa in the group of early childhood special teachers. Second, the recognitions of the importance on the role implementation and cooperation by two groups were above 3.0. The meeting time, the professional knowledge, the instructional planning and evaluation was higher in the group of early childhood special teachers. Third, the recognitions of the importance on the role implementation and cooperation by two groups were higher than of the current implementation. Fourth, the two groups chose the goal setting of cooperative teaching as the priority factor to improve the role implementation and cooperation. And they wanted the decrease of inclusive children per teacher, in-service training on the cooperative teaching. Fifth, in the open questions, they expressed the personal understanding and communication, the decrease of children per teacher, and of paperwork as the needing factors to improve. They also pointed the shortage of time for cooperation, the deficiency of understanding for inclusive education as the barriers to solve. Based on these results, the suggestions and implications were discussed.
