Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze CBR educational courses based on the perspectives of ICF framework, for the exploration about its future directions. This study was a descriptive research study analyzed the contents of a CBR training courses which were completed from 2013 to until the first-half period of 2015. ICF experts who have research experience and two of community-based rehabilitation education committee classified the contents of each curriculum subject into ICF framework and made the agreement on it. Results were as follows: The number of those who have received education for two and a half year, totalled 1,350. The rate of such education trainees showed that males and females accounted for 19.60 and 80.40%, in turn, respectively. The rates of occupation types were as follows: doctors (0.20%), nurses (31.47%), physical therapists (35.70%), occupational therapists (5.93%), social workers (5.43%), healthcare professionals (10.43%), administrative professionals (3.77%), and any others (7.23%), which showed that physical therapists accounted for the highest rate; nurses for the next highest rate. Regarding 'advantage', there were shown 91.90(average), while as to 'practical ability feasibility', there were shown 86.30(average). According to the 'comparative outcome on pre and post-education acquisition of education knowledge' scores of every area were significantly (p<0.01) improved. ICF concept-based education showed that related to 18(13.43) of 'body structures' and 44(32.84) of 'body functions', 44(32.84) of activities and participation, 28(20.89) of environmental factors, in turn, respectively. Regarding the operation of CBR education, e580, health services, systems and policies reach the highest shown(53th), next shown was e115 Products and technology for personal use in daily living. CBR workers provided positive feedback on the effectiveness of CBR related courses. It was also showed that 'activity and participation' and 'body functions' accounted for high ratios in accordance with the education objective of social integration and improvement of life quality of the community disabled. It was suggested that the current curriculum needs to be re-overhauled in a way to reflect the concept of ICF, at a balanced level, in the future.
