대학생의 정서지능과 진로결정의 관계에서 진로장벽의 매개 효과

초록

본 연구는 대학생의 정서지능이 어떠한 경로를 통해 진로결정에 영향을 미치는지를 탐색하고, 정서지능과 진로결정의 관계에서 진로장벽의 매개효과를 검증하는데 그 목적이 있다. 구체적인 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 정서지능, 진로장벽은 진로결정에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가? 둘째, 정서지능, 진로결정의 관계에서 진로장벽이 매개역할을 하는가?이러한 연구문제를 가지고 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 부산지역의 4개 대학교 전 학년 450명을 대상으로 정서지능, 진로장벽, 진로결정 검사를 실시하였으며 최종적으로 324명의 자료가 분석에 포함되었다. 수집된 자료는 Amos(version, 18.0)통계 프로그램을 이용하여 SEM(structural equation modeling)절차에 따라 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과와 논의를 통해 얻어진 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 정서지능은 진로장벽에 부적인 직접효과를 미친다. 둘째, 진로장벽은 진로결정에 부적인 직접효과를 미치다. 셋째, 정서지능과 진로결정의 관계에서 진로장벽의 매개효과가 나타났다. 결론적으로 대학생의 진로상담을 위한 주요한 시사점은 대학생의 진로결정 과정에서 정서지능을 활용하고, 합리적인 진로결정에 방해되는 진로장벽을 낮게 지각하는 것은 나아가 진로결정을 높이는 중요한 요인이 된다. 따라서 진로결정을 높이기 위해 자신이 가진 정서를 잘 활용하고, 지각되는 진로장벽을 더 이상의 방해물로 인식하지 않도록 하고, 진로선택과 결정에 대한 자신감을 증진시키기는 효과적인 상담 전략이 필요하다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effects of career barriers in the relationship between emotional intelligence and career decision of college students. In order to achieve the purpose of this research, The subjects were 324 students from four universities located in Busan. Instruments used in the study were as follows: The Emotional Intelligence Scale, Career Barriers Scale, Career Decision Level Scale. Statistical methods is adopted as data analysis that are SEM(structural equation modeling) by AMOS(version 18.0). The results of the Structural Equation Model Analysis showed that emotional intelligence and career barriers directly affected career decision. Conclusions from results and discussion of this study are as follows:First, it is found that emotional intelligence has negative direct effect on career barriers. Second, it is found that career barriers has negative direct effect on career decision level. Third, there is mediation effect of career barriers in relation between emotional intelligence and career decision level. Therefore, effective counseling strategies to perceive one's emotion well and have confidence in one's career decision in order to enhance career decision level. Consequently It means that the emotional career guide program need on college student. Finally, the limitations of this study and suggestions for further research are presented.
