구마 겐코 건축의 외피에 나타난 비구축적 표현 특성에 관한 연구 -표면과 접합 디테일의 구현방식을 중심으로-

건축 축조의 과정에는 부재와 부재의 접합이 발생하며 이에 따른 디테일 작업을 필수적으로 수반한다. 각 부재의 접합은 시공상의 필요성과 필연성에 의한 부산물임과 동시에 건축가의 설계의지를 통해 감추거나 드러내거나에 대한 결정을 통해 건축 외피의 표현수단의 일부로 이용되어 왔다. 건축 외피는 디테일을 통해 구조체계를 직접적으로 표현하든가, 건축 형태에 있어서 최종적 마감으로 또는 장식적 조형으로서 역할이 가능하다. 접합부 디테일에 대한 사고는 축조의 형식을 통해 표현된다. 건축의 구축적 방법술은 그 시대 패러다임과 기술의 변화에 의해 영향 받고 있다. 현대 건축 외피에 나타나는 축조를 위한 접합부 디테일은 비구축적 가능성과 표현특성이 나타나며 이에 의해 외피의 표상 방식도 달라진다. 본 논문은 재료의 새로운 구축법의 가능성을 다양한 작품에서 표출해낸 구마 겐코 건축의 일반적 재료의 축조성을 중심으로 건축의 외피를 연구한다. 그의 건축에 나타난 재료 접합 디테일의 구축 방법을 통한 물성의 기술적 활용방법의 비구축적 표현특성 대해 알아보고 이의 유형적 특성과 의의를 고찰하려한다. 부재와 부재를 연결하는 디테일 방식의 변화와 이의 적용을 기술적, 구축적 관점으로 재조명하여 현대 건축에서 나타나는 외피의 구현방식을 보다 실증적인 층위에서 논하려 한다.
Abstract
On the process of architectural construction of detail work essentially entails and occurs the joint of the material. Joint due to the construction on the necessity and inevitability of each member is a byproduct of detail. At the same time, architectural surface is able to hide or expose by means of expression as part of the architect's design commitment. Tectonic culture is being affected by paradigm of modern construction technology and the industrial society. The way of representation of exterior image is getting changed and contemporary architecture challenges diverse technique of exterior joint system and appears characteristic of atectionic detail. This Study expresses in a variety of work and the possibility of new material of Japanese architect Kengo Kuma and investigate construction of a general characteristic of the material joint detail of architectural surface. Detail and its application is changing from his architectural philosophy, technical perspective of material and more importantly the way he use detail through building construction. This paper examines characteristics of atectonic system about technical properties of the material and control factors of details and tries to discuss the implementation of the surface through empirical point of view
