Abstract

The development of IT and SNS have generated the era of big data, which is the so large and complex that it becomes difficult to process to analyze. In twenty years from now, the development of IT depends on the technologies of the big data and infographic technologies have received attention in regard to big data visualizations. However in Korea there is still a lack of research on infographics using big data. This paper analyzes and compare visualization methods of six infographic works on August 14, 2003 blackout in the United States and Canada. The contrastive analysis of the six different visualizations on the same big data and questionnaire survey on this paper aim to examine which visualization methods provide rapid, effective access to information for users. This investigation can be useful in designing big data visualization.
