누정 현판의 심미사유 내원 고찰 -咸陽 花林洞 계곡의 樓亭을 중심으로-

초록
누정은 주변의 경관을 시간적·공간적·심미적으로 일체화된 공간이며, 한국과 중국 등에서 볼 수 있는 독특한 조경 공간이기도 하다. 이곳은 주로 삶의 긴장과 이완을 조절하였으며, 대자연을 통하여 정신을 연마하는 장이기도 하였다. 또한 시인과 묵객들이 누정에 올라 시문을 창화하면서 인적네트워크를 형성하는 소통의 공간이었다. 누정의 현판에는 건립자의 독특한 심미사유가 담겨져 있다. 본 논고에서는 멈춤의 미학인 休와 止가 어떤 사상에 유래되었고, 이러한 심미사유를 바탕으로 경남 함양 화림동에 건립된 심미사유는 무엇인가를 살펴보고자 한다.
Abstract
Pavilions are aesthetic buildings harmonized with the surrounding landscape in ancient and modern time and space. They have unique open structures that were sited a short distance from a main residence. Pavilions were constructed for the purpose of resting and cultivating of minds through communion with nature. They were also established to use as places for building human network among men of letters. Pavilions are seen in China and Korea. They are called as “Nujeong” ins Korea. Nujeongs are not only for resting, but also for aesthetic thinking of ancient Korean writers. They are generally designed to provide visitors with a space where they can rest physically as well as spiritually and stimulate their own imaginations. The aesthetic and philosophical background on the concept of ‘Rest and ‘standstill contained in the plaques of Nujeongs will be studied on this paper.
