《掛枝兒》와 《山歌》에 나타난 기녀의 손님맞이 양상

명대 말기 기녀는 민가 부흥의 주역 가운데 하나로 손꼽힌다. 기루(妓樓) 가운데 그들의 활약은 민가의 창작에서부터 향유, 전파까지 큰 영향을 미쳤다. 이 때, 민가는 당시 사람들의 ‘참된 정[眞情]’을 노래했다고 추앙받았기 때문에 평범한 기녀들의 일상 생활 모습 역시 잘 반영하고 있을 것이라 기대할 수 있다. 본고에서 다루는 ‘호객’과 ‘접대’는 기녀들의 주된 업무로, 풍몽룡이 편찬한 민가 총집 ≪괘지아≫와 ≪산가≫에는 ‘평범한 기녀’들의 사례를 매우 ‘구체적’으로 표현한 작품들을 수록하고 있다는 데서 의의를 찾을 수 있다. 다만 민가집 가운데 기녀의 손님맞이 과정에서 빚어질 수 있는 비극적인 상황이나 그에 대한 심경 토로는 소극적으로 반영되고 있다. 이는 민가집의 유희적 목적, 기녀의 신분적 특성과 밀접한 관계가 있을 것이다.
Abstract
In the late Ming Dynasty, female entertainers were one of the driving forces in flourishing the folk songs. Among the jilou[妓樓], the activities of female entertainers had huge influence on creation, enjoyment, and distribution of folk songs. As the folk songs were praised for singing the ‘true feelings’ of the people at that time, the songs also well-reflected the actual lifestyle and feelings of ordinary female entertainers. 'touting', 'hospitality' are the main business of female entertainers, the folk song books compiled by Feng Mengrong are meaningful in that these contain works that express the business cases of 'ordinary female entertainers' in a very 'specific' way. But female entertainers' tragic situations and misery are reflected passively in 《Guazhi-er》 and 《Shange》. Such limitation is assumed to be closely related with the entertaining purpose of song books and female entertainers' characteristics of social level.
