자유의지와 실천의 문제 －『사상계』에 나타난 기독교 관련 글을 중심으로－

Abstract

The present study aims to consider how the Christianity influences on the 『Sasanggye』 reviewing articles of the 『Sasanggye』 related to the Christianity. The leading articles of the 『Sasanggye』 were Christians. For this reason we investigate how their belief appeared in the articles of the thought. The articles stressed Christian doctrines or missionary literatures are rare in the 『Sasanggye』. Christian doctrines set a high value on human mainly and then emphasized the practical will for realizing that value. Especially, they believed that the human value is based on the religious belief and democracy is a unique system for realizing that belief. Religious freedom, human freedom will, and realizing democracy are connected collinearly. And maintaining democracy is a responsibility because communism is a hostile ideology to democracy. For evidencing that logic, social responsibility of Christianity is stressed referencing the theory of foreigntheologians such as Niebuhr, Reinhold and theologians’ opinion. The articles that emphasize the religious responsibility inspire the social practice consciousness spontaneously from religious. Kim and Ham are famous Christian writers in the 『Sasanggye』 but the characteristic of their writings are quite different. Kim mentioned more theoretical explain of human, religion and democracy though the articles of ideas and philosophies, but Ham stressed more the image of practical religious through the essay. The 『Sasanggye』 soffer bothknowledge and practice to readers assigning properly Kim’s and Ham’s articles. 『Sasanggye』 do not seem to be influenced by Christianity. However, logicality of their pursuit connecting its ideas to religiosity is still observed in the articles of 『Sasanggye』. We may recognize the existence the conservative Christians inside of practicing religious through their immersion into democracy like a savior of the unstable society revealing dangerousness and wariness of communism.
