현대의 소비자들은 ‘공유’라는 개념에 익숙해졌으며, 특히 SNS와 친숙한 젊은 층을 중심으로 음악, 사진, 파일 등의 공유가 일상생활의 일부분이 되고 있다. 이를 토대로, 많은 신생 혹은 기존 기업들이 ‘공유’의 개념을 보다 확장시키는 비즈니스 모델을 개발하고 있다. 이러한 공유 경제를 기반으로 한 비즈니스 모델로의 전환은 기업의 가치와 사회의 가치가 기업의 생성 단계부터 함께 움직이기 때문에, 이를 굳이 따로 측정하지 않아도 되며 성과 또한 함께 축적된다는 이점이 있다. 한편, 오픈 소스 소프트웨어 모델은 구성원 사이의 협력과 지식의 공유를 통해 혁신, 생산 및 글로벌 지식의 진화를 가능하게 해 주는 구조를 공식화한다. 본 연구에서는 오픈 소스 소프트웨어 모델의 지속 가능성과 이 모델이 개방형 혁신과 공유경제라는 패러다임의 발전을 위해 제시해주는 시사점을 도출하였다. 본 연구의 결과가 사회적 생산 메커니즘으로서의 오픈 소스 소프트웨어 모델의 적용을 시도하고자 하는 기업들의 전략에 가이드가 될 수 있기를 기대한다.
Abstract
Modern consumers have become accustomed to the concept of 'sharing'. In particular, sharing music, photos, and files is becoming a part of the lives of young people who are accustomed to SNS. Based on this, many new or existing companies are developing business models that further extend the concept of 'sharing'. The transition to a business model based on a shared economy has the advantage that the value of the enterprise and society move together from the stage of creation of the enterprise, so that it is not necessary to measure it separately and the performance is accumulated together. The open source software model, on the other hand, forms a structure that enables innovation, production and evolution of global knowledge through collaboration and knowledge sharing among members. In this study, we derive the sustainability of the open source software model and its implications for the development of a paradigm of open innovation and shared economy. I hope that the results of this study will be a guide to the strategies of companies trying to apply the open source software model as a social production mechanism.
