경쟁환경 속에서 기업들은 이러한 경쟁 환경에 대응하기 위해 전략적 제휴, 인수/합병, 기술 확보를 위한 해외직접투자, 고용을 통한 학습 등의 방법으로 외부로부터 기술을 흡수함으로써 기업에게 필요한 자원을 확보하는 방법으로 기술제휴가 주목을 받고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구의 목적은 기업 환경에서 기술변화에 경쟁우위를 점하기 위해 효과적인 대안으로 떠오르고 있는 기술제휴 활동에 있어서 수행조직에서부터 기업성과까지의 기업 내부요인에 대한 인과적 관계를 밝히고자 기술제휴를 수행하는 조직의 특유자원를 규정하고 성공에 이르는 경로를 규명하고자 하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 기술제휴 수행조직의 특유자원은 기술흡수역량에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 기술흡수역량의 구성차원간의 관계에서 잠재흡수역량은 실현흡수역량에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 기술흡수역량은 기업성과에 일부 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 기업성과의 구성차원간의 관계에서는 기술제휴성과는 재무적성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로, 기술제휴를 준비하고 있거나 수행하고 있는 기업에게 사전에 점검해야할 특유자원과 기술제휴의 전략적 방향성을 수립하는데 필요한 이론적 근거를 제시하였다는 점이 본 연구의 의의라 할 수 있다.
Abstract
To respond to such a competitive business environment, companies are acquiring necessary resources by absorbing technologies from outside through strategic alliance, mergers and acquisition, overseas investment for acquiring technologies, and learning through employment. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: First, the competence of the organization executing technology alliance has a positive effect on technology absorption ability. Second, in the relationship between components of technology absorption ability, the potential absorption capacity has a positive effect on realized absorption capacity. Third, technology absorption ability has a partial positive effect on corporate business performance. Fourth, in the relationship between the components of corporate business performance, the technology alliance performance has a positive effect on the financial performance. This study has suggested the necessary rationale for establishing the necessary competences to be checked in advance and the strategic directions of the technology alliance to companies that are preparing or executing the technology alliance.
