인구 감소의 문제는 국방력 유지에 있어 중요한 문제점으로 부각되고 있다. 국방부는 병력 감소의 문제와 연계하여 최신 기술을 접목하는 스마트 밀리터리 환경을 구축하고, AI 등의 기술을 적극적으로 활용하는 계획을 수립하여 시행 중에 있다. 스마트 밀리터리 환경에서 장병 개개인의 역할은 매우 중요하나 해당 장병이 경계선 지능을 보유한 경우 복잡한 상황 판단이나 전문 기술에 대한 이해에 어려움을 겪을 수 있다. 소수의 병력이 차지하는 비중이 커지는 스마트 밀리터리 환경에서는 일상생활에 어려움이 있는 경계선 지능 장병이라도 작전목적 달성을 위해 한 사람의 역할을 충분히 하여야 한다. 생성형 AI의 여러 종류 중 하나인 텍스트 생성 모델은 경계선 지능 장병을 지원하는 데 효과적인 방식이 될 수 있다. 본 연구에서 제시하고 있는 국방용어 기반의 임의 문장 생성과 경력을 보유한 승인권자의 피드백을 통한 생성형 AI 데이터 확보, 제공범위와 군 조직 연계를 고려한 분석 설계, 경계선 지능 장병 개개인의 능력과 주어진 임무를 고려한 적용방향은 미래 국방환경에서 경계선 지능 장병의 능력을 향상시키는 보조역할을 수행하는 데 큰 기여를 할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
Abstract
The issue of population decline is emerging as a significant challenge in maintaining national defense capabilities. In response to the challenge of troop reduction, the Ministry of National Defense has devised and is executing a plan to establish a smart military environment integrating cutting-edge technologies, including AI. While every soldier's role in this environment is crucial, those with borderline intelligence may struggle to navigate complex situations or grasp specialized technologies. Despite potential daily life challenges, in a smart military setting where a smaller number of troops are relied upon, even borderline intelligent soldiers must fulfill essential roles to meet operational objectives. Utilizing text generation models, a subset of Generative AI, can effectively support borderline intelligent soldiers. This study anticipates that generating diverse sentences based on defense terminology, gathering Generative AI data through experienced approvers' feedback, designing analyses considering provisioning scope and military organization connections, and tailoring applications to individual borderline intelligent soldiers' capabilities and assigned tasks will significantly enhance their auxiliary role in advancing defense capabilities in future environments.
