This study’s purpose was to derive implications for communication competency education by exploring sixth-grade elementary school students’ subjective perception of their communication performance and characteristics. Learner's subjective perception of their communication performance refers to the learners’ internal structure regarding how to communicate as a speaker and a listener in various contexts of life. This study attempted to examined sixth grade elementary school students’ subjective perception of their communication performance through a Q methodology which is used in research exploring human subjectivity of objects or phenomena. From the study’s results, seven types of subjectivity regarding students’ communication performance and characteristics of each type were derived, and educational implications for each type were proposed.
