陳鼎의 「滇黔土司婚禮記」는 雲南, 貴州 두 지역에 분포하는 소수민족의 결혼 문화에 대해 기록한 글이다. 陳鼎은 降陰사람으로 字는 定九, 혹은 九符이고 號는 鶴沙이며 晩年에는 號를 鐵肩道人이라고 하였다. 그는 오랜 시간동안 雲南 貴州 지역의 고원지대에서 생활하며 그 지역 소수민족의 역사와 문화, 지리에 대해 깊이 연구하였다. 陳鼎은 17세 때 臨安府에 있는 龍氏 성을 가진 土司의 사위가 되었는데, 「滇黔土司婚禮記」는 바로 土司의 딸과 혼인하게 되는 婚禮의 모든 과정 및 묘족들의 결혼 생활에 대해 자세히 기술하고 있어, 당시 묘족의 독특한 생활 풍습과 결혼문화 연구에 있어 귀중한 자료라고 할 수 있다. 특히 묘족 청춘남녀의 연애 방식인 “跳月”을 자세히 소개하고 있으며, 묘족들의 결혼 풍습인 媵妾制는 이미 中原 지역에서는 그 모습이 사라졌으나, 묘족들의 결혼 풍습에는 여전히 남아있음을 알 수 있다. 이 작품을 통해 우리는 유교의 禮儀規範과 한족의 言語, 文字, 生活風習 등이 당시 소수민족에게 어떠한 영향을 미쳤는지 대략적으로 이해할 수 있다. 「滇黔土司婚禮記」는,명청시기 雲南과 貴州 지역에 분포했던 묘족의 결혼 문화 연구와 더 나아가 중국 西南地域의 사회 문화를 연구하는데 매우 귀중한 자료라고 할 수 있다.
Abstract
This article translates Dian Qian Tu Si Hun Li Ji of Chen Ding. The literature record the marriage custom of minority group who lives in china Yun Nan and Gui Zhou. Chen Ding has studied about minority group's history, culture and geography in Yun Nan and Gui Zhou for a long time. Dian Qian Tu Si Hun Li Ji let The Ming and Qing Dynasties of two province to understand institutions, customs and the social situation in that time synthetically , these day it is a precious historical sources that could research about southwest regions of china. Especially in the article, Chen Ding is describing every steps that marry with Tu si's daughter and marriage custom of Hmong in detail , so that it is regarded as the important data for researching the unique life custom and marriage custom at that time.
