오늘날 각 분야에서 “융합”을 넘어 “통섭”이라는 단어들이 사용되고 있다. 통섭이란 여러 분야로 나눠진 학문들을 하나의 방법으로 설명하려는 것이다. 이에따르면 통섭예술이란 여러 갈래로 분절된 장르들을 통합해 같이 어우러져 새로운 경험을 가능케 하는 것이다. 즉 각각의 예술적 언어가 다른 음악과 미술, 문학, 영상 등이 서로 만나 새로운 예술적 움직임을 제공하는 것이다. 오늘날 점차쇠퇴해가고 있는 클래식 공연이 활성화되기 위해서는 여러 다양한 프로그램의개발을 필요로 한다. 본 연구는 이러한 노력의 일환으로서, 예술을 통섭적 시각으로 바라보고 서로 다른 예술 장르와의 융합을 통하여 공감각적 공감을 누릴수 있는 새로운 음악회의 콘텐츠 개발을 드뷔시 프렐류드를 통해 제시하고자 한다. 이는 청각만이 있는 기존 음악회와는 달리 해설과 영상에 의한 정보 전달이동시에 이루어지는 음악회로서 인상주의 회화와 상징주의 문학, 인상주의 음악등 19세기 말에서 20세기 초의 새로운 예술적 경향들을 서로 통합하여 공감각적 음악회를 지향하는 공연이다. 이러한 새로운 형식의 음악회는 클래식 음악을난해하다고 생각하는 많은 관객들이 음악을 보다 쉽게 이해하고 누리는데 기여함으로써 클래식 음악의 대중화와 활성화, 나아가서는 클래식 음악 인구의 저변확대에도 기여할 것으로 기대한다.
Abstract
Nowadays, the term ‘consilience’, which goes beyond‘convergence’, is used in numerous areas. Consilience is anapproach to explain divided fields of study by one method. Consilience integrates and harmonizes segmented genres andfacilitates new experiences. Music, painting, literature, film andother art forms with different artistic modalities come together andbring about new moves to the arts. To revive gradually decliningclassical concerts, development of a variety of programs isnecessary. As part of such efforts, this thesis provides a Debussy’sPreludes concert as an example of developing a new music concertaimed at synesthetic experiences which approaches the arts fromthe perspective of consilience and integrates different genres of thearts. Unlike other auditory concerts, the concert seeks to besynesthetic by converging new artistic trends between the late 19thand early 20th centuries such as impressionist paintings, symbolistliterature and impressionist music. By helping the audience, most ofwhom feel classical music is difficult, understand it more easily,this novel form of concert is expected to reinvigorate classicalmusic, allowing it to become more popular and increase theclassical music population.
