이 논문에서는 중국 당국체제의 논리 안에서 노동자 행동의 원리와 그 의미를 파악해보고, 사회주의 신념을 매개로 한 노동자 행동이 어떻게 세대를 거쳐 전승되어왔는지 분석한다. 또한 사회주의 가치와 정신이 어떻게 지역과 계급을 초월하여 결합되고 있는지, 최근의 제이식(Jasic) 노동자 투쟁에 대한 대학생들의 지원활동을 통해 그 특징을 분석한다. 과거 사회주의에 대한 노동자들의 기억과 경험은 개혁과 더불어 주변화된 노동계급과 결합되면서 지역과 세대, 계층을 초월하여 전승되고 있다. 최근 제이식 노동자 투쟁에 대한 대학생들의 지원 활동은 수직적으로 분리된 중국 사회구조를 깨는 횡적 결합과 노학 연대라는 점에서, 그리고 사회주의 담론으로 사회주의 체제권력을 비판하고 있다는 점에서 향후 중국의 정치게임과 사회구성에 어떠한 변화를 가져올지 주목된다. 체제와 권력의 논리로서의 사회주의와 운동과 변혁의 논리로서의 사회주의, 이 두 가지 사회주의가 경주 하며 벌이는 충돌과 접속, 그리고 향후의 흐름을 주목해서 보아야할 것이다.
Abstract
This paper analyzes logics and meanings of workers’ actions within the logic of the Chinese party-state system, and analyzes how workers’ actions based on socialist beliefs have been inherited through generations. It also shows features of trans-regional and trans-class alliance of socialist values and minds by investigting university students’ support activities for the Jasic labor struggle. Memories and experiences of workers under past socialisist period have been inherited to the marginalized working classes after the reform by overcoming regional, generational and class barriers. The support activities of university students for Jasic workers’ struggle are the horizontal union and solidarity between workers and students that breaks vertically separated Chinese social structure. It should be noted what impact this will give to China’s political game and social structure in the future.
