Abstract

The purpose of the study is to examine the human resource development activities effectiveness comparing with worker's career interrupted experience. To achieve these objectives, F test was applied using 5th Human Capital Corporate Panel Survey. 18 kinds of human resource development activities training programs were categorized into two types: formal training and informal training. Results indicated that first, the experience of workers' participation in human resource development programs was found to affect the job satisfaction and turnover intention of workers. Second, HRD program was more significantly related to the job satisfaction and the low turnover intention for the workers without career interruption than the workers with career interruption. Third, for the workers with career interruption, informal learning programs are more effective than formal learning programs. A proper understanding of workers with career interruption should be preceded. Based on the findings, practical implications for human resource development activities were discussed.
