한국청소년문화에 유입 된 일본 대중문화의 수용실태 -부산지역 고등학생을 중심으로

Abstract

The realities of inflow of Japanese popular culture into Korean adolescents'As the mass media facilitate contacts with Japanese popular culture in the adolescence which needs healthy values, there are increased concerns about harm by indiscreet acceptance of Japanese popular culture. Now that the first, second, third, and fourth openings of Japanese popular culture happened, I am to inquire into the realities and changes about Japanese popular culture being consumed by Korean adolescents and present right direction to accept it. Based on the questionnaire survey conducted between 2002 and 2005 with students of four high schools located in Busan, Korea, the result shows that they expressed concern and wariness in the early years, but later they accepted in amity. Moreover, the realm of objects extends from pop songs and stationery to the comic and games. The period of the first contact is advanced from middle and high school days to elementary and middle school days, too. The first reason why they favor Japanese popular culture is based on great fun of scenarios and advanced formation with the easy access. It also cannot be overlooked that even though many Korean teenagers look on the bright side of Japanese popular culture, some of them oppose its openings founded on the arrogance of Japanese who do not reflect themselves about the wrong history. In other words, they make much more of historical perception than the content or quality of culture. Teenagers point out violence, destructiveness, nudity, teenage prostitution, and bullying in comics as the negative effects of Japanese popular culture and animation, comics, pop song CD's and games a s the negative media. Compared with the survey in 2002, the number of the students who answered comics as the negative medium doubled itself in the survey in 2005. The result indicates that vulgar comics from Japan have harmful effects on Korean adolescents and their harm is getting more serious day bay day. The channel to come in contact with Japanese vulgar culture and porno was usually by friends in 2002, but in 2005 directly over the internet. In addition, students treated Japanese popular culture as the superior one in the early years, but they think of it as the equal to the Korean popular culture in the late years.
