구치소 재소자가 지각하는 낙인 척도 개발을 위한 예비연구

본 연구는 구치소 재소자들이 지각하는 낙인을 측정하는 척도개발을 위한 예비연구이다. 이를 위하여 수감자 및 출소자에 관한 문헌 및 기존의 자기낙인, 내재화된 낙인 척도 등에 대한 검토를 토대로 하여 23개의 예비문항을 제작하였고, 이후 7명의 전문가들이 개발된 문항의 적절성에 대하여 전반적인 검토를 하였다. 개발한 예비문항을 구치소에 수감 중인 남녀를 대상으로 실시하여 247명의 자료를 수집하였으며, 문항분석을 통해 부적절한 9개 문항을 삭제하여 최종 선택된 14개 문항에 대하여 탐색적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 탐색적 요인분석 결과 2요인 수감에 대한 자기은폐(9문항), 범죄자에 대한 편견(5문항)이 도출되었다. 요인 1 ‘수감에 대한 자기은폐’는 재소자에 대한 부정적 사회적 시선에 대한 인식을 수용하여 재소자 스스로 수감되었던 사실을 드러내지 않거나 비밀로 하려는 문항들로 구성되어 있으며, 요인 2 ‘범죄자에 대한 편견’은 범죄자를 정상에서의 일탈자로서 위험하고 이상한 자로 생각하는 사회적 편견, 고정관념을 지각하는 문항들로 구성되어 있다. 이후 개발된 척도의 신뢰도 검증 결과, 내적 합치도가 ‘수감에 대한 자기은폐’ .920, ‘범죄자에 대한 편견’ .784, 전체 .926으로 나타나 모두 양호한 수준을 보였으며, 변별 타당도를 확인하기 위하여 자아존중감과 상관분석을 실시한 결과, ‘수감에 대한 자기은폐’ .210, ‘범죄자에 대한 편견’ .304, 전체 .265로 낮은 상관을 보여 변별 타당도가 검증되었다. 마지막으로 연구의 의의와 제한점, 후속연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to develop the perceived stigma scale of prisoner. 23 preliminary items were developed through a literature review, examination of several established stigma scales. After content validity of the preliminary items was confirmed by 7 professionals. A survey was conducted by 247 prisoners. 9 inappropriate items were eliminated through item analysis and therefore an exploratory factor analysis(EFA) was conducted with 14 items. 2 factors(Self-Concealment about Imprisonment, Prejudice about Criminal) were derived from EFA. The first factor ‘Self-Concealment about Imprisonment’ consisted of 9 items for prisoner him/herself not to expose or to keep secret about imprisonment because he/she accepted negative recognition about prisoner. The second factor 'Prejudice about Criminal' was composed of 5 items concerning social prejudices and stereotypes to regard criminal as deviator from normality. Afterward, analysis of reliability and validity confirmed the utility and stability of stigma scale of prisoner. Discriminant validity verified as a result of correlation analysis with self-esteem. Based on the results of this study, we discussed the significance and limits of this study and presented suggestions for follow-up study.
