청소년 젠더평등문화 확산을 위한 지역사회의 역할: 젠더거버넌스에 참여한 시민활동가의 젠더감수성 발달 경험을 중심으로

본 논문은 젠더거버넌스에 참여하고 있는 시민활동가의 젠더감수성 개발 경험에 대한 심층면접을 바탕으로, 청소년들의 젠더감수성 개발과 젠더평등문화 확산을 위해 지역사회가 해야 할 역할에 대해 모색하고자 하였다. 연구방법으로는 ‘체험의 본질’을 탐구하는 데 적합한 현상학적 연구방법을 사용하였다. 연구 결과, 시민활동가의 젠더감수성 발달과 젠더거버넌스 참여 경험에 대한 주제와 의미는 5가지 본질적 주제와 14개의 주제묶음으로 도출되었다. 5가지 본질적 주제는 ‘자각:성인지감수성 개발’, ‘시작:젠더활동의 첫걸음’, ‘전개:젠더거버넌스활동으로 확장’, ‘성장:젠더거버넌스를 방해하는 장애물 대응’, ‘기대:젠더평등사회 실현을 위한 지속적 노력’이다. 이상의 연구결과를 바탕으로 본 논문은 청소년들의 젠더감수성을 강화하기 위한 지역사회의 역할을 청소년 개인에 대한 지원과 청소년을 둘러싼 환경에 대한 지원 등 두 가지 차원에서 제안하였다.
Abstract
This study seeks to explore the role of local communities for the development of gender sensibility and spreading a gender equality culture of youth based on in-depth interviews with civic activists who participated in gender governance. As a research method for this, a phenomenological research method suitable for exploring the 'essence of experience' was used. As a result of the study, the themes and meanings of the development of gender sensitivity and participation in gender governance by civic activists were drawn into five essential themes and 14 themes. The five essential themes are 'Awareness: Development of Gender Sensibility', 'Start: First Step in Gender Activities', 'Increase: Expansion into Gender Governance Activities', 'Growth: Face obstacles that hinder gender governance', 'Expectation: Continuous efforts to realize gender equality society'. Based on the above research results, this study proposed the role of the community to strengthen the gender sensitivity of adolescents in two dimensions: support for individual adolescents and support for the environment surrounding adolescents.
