Abstract
The main claim of this paper is that some errors of Korean students in the learning of Spanish can be improved by showing some general syntactic similarities between Spanish and Korean. Spanish and Korean share common characteristics in the following themes: pro-drop phenomenon, word order by information structure and the accusative preposition 'a' and Korean case marker 'ul/lul'. In the first place, Spanish and Korean are null subject languages. In Spanish, the verb morpheme can identify the null subject. On the other hand, Korean, which does not have verb conjugation, legitimizes the pro-drop in the discourse situation. In these two languages, the null subject is obligatory when it is licensed and completely recuperate. In second place, Spanish and Korean don't have a fixed word order. Their word order is based on the information structure, such as old information and new information. Finally, we try to argue that the accusative preposition 'a' in Spanish has a very similar function with the Korean accusative Case marker 'ul/lul'. In the field of Spanish teaching, if we apply well these syntactic similarities between the two languages, the Korean students will have an easier access to the learning of Spanish.
