나선정벌 서사의 시각화 콘텐츠 제작 방안 모색

Abstract

This study aims to present a production plan for visualized content shown in a digital space by conducting a comprehensive analysis of the narratives and the related accounts of the Northern Expedition to the Amur in 1658. The authors of this study decided to create visualized content by utilizing digital humanaties perspective based on the spatial information including GPS coordinates, locations, place names, and image information gathered from the literature: Bukjeongrok, Baeshiwhangjeon, and Bukjeongilgi, and the in-situ survey. This study was conducted with the following two specific objectives. First, visualized content of the Second Russian Conquest was developed by entering spatial and location information. Spatial and movement information such as place names, locations, GPS coordinates, properties of locations and the means of transportation were entered to create data, and then a representation of these was made using Google Maps. In the real work, the spaces related with the Northern Expedition to the Amur in 1658 will be hyper-linked with data such as photos and text that may aid the reader’s understanding. Second, the relationships among individuals were also visualized. This will clearly show the changes in the relationship and weight among individuals. To do this, the individual network will be made by extracting character information, the relationships among individuals and the characteristics of each relationship. Implied by the digital humanities, the purpose of this study is to make a visual expression of the Northern Expedition to the Amur in 1658 based on research findings and related data for readers to enjoy in a digital space by applying digital IT and research methodologies. Researchers of classic literature and the digital humanities worked in collaboration to build an understanding of the concept and the content of this historical event in order to make visual expressions in a digital space. Through this fusion research frame, we expect to supplement what we have felt was lacking, gain new findings, and achieve more active communication with readers.
