This study is about the Korean nine tailed fox and Japanese Yuki-onna. The Nine tailed fox story is not a Korea-specific story, but it can also be found in China and Japan. The characteristic of Korean nine tailed fox is a story line that nine tailed fox desire to become a human. This story line isn’t something old. It was completely new story that Korean broadcasting writers reproduced from the Koizumi Yakumo’s Yuki-onna story in 1977. In addition, the explanation why nine tailed fox have to get married with was added by this process. As this explanation getting popular, the ways of becoming human got modernized and developed. It was something completely new and never had before. It was the new creation of the Korean culture by adopting Japanese culture.
