초록

“Taketori Monogatari” introduces various stories such as ‘an eccentric person's birth story’, ‘wife-obtaining fight story’, ‘derivation story’, and ‘fairy robe-related story'. Just as shown in the names, they could be divided into stories with realistic materials and stories with unrealistic materials. However, in the parts like ‘development and growth of Kaguyahime' and ‘proposal and ascension of the emperor' with the unrealistic materials, the narrators and characters do not show any self-awareness of the unreality as the story develops under the realistic sense. On the other hand, in the part like ‘five young nobles proposal' which intentionally mixes the unrealistic materials in the real world, the clear perception of the unreality is built on. In order to combine the double-narrative structure stories for a Monogatari work, the author uses several connecting links such as ‘marriage', ‘treasure in imagination' shown in the legend, and ‘rumor'. And here, an ‘old man' plays a role of mediator in tying stories into one. “Taketori Monogatari” has become an ancestor of Japanese novels by deriving diverse-types of novels. However, the novels that realistically handle unrealistic materials gradually decline, and only Monogatari based on the stories with realistic materials is inherited. “Taketori Monogatari” could be evaluated as a work playing the role of driving force in the transitional period from the unrealistic myths or stories to the Japanese-style reality novels, Monogatari literature.
