초록

In order to clarify the beliefs about Japanese pronunciation of learners, a questionnaire survey and a factor analysis were conducted, and it was found that there are seven factors: Factor 1 Lack of confidence when reading Japanese; Factor 2 Satisfaction with one's pronunciation; Factor 3 Necessity of Japanese instructors; Factor 4 High motivation to improve pronunciation; Factor 5 Importance of pronunciation; Factor 6 Interest in Japanese; Factor 7 Difficulty in learning Japanese. We had predicted that gender and the length of stay in Japan would affect these factors, and a t-test found that the first factor for gender was "lack of confidence when reading Japanese" and the third factor was "teaching Japanese". There was a significant difference between genders in Factor 7 "difficulty of learning Japanese". In both cases, it was found that men were more strongly influenced, and the thought that it was difficult to learn Japanese led to a lack of confidence in reading as well as teaching Japanese. It was confirmed that he wanted a professor who would do it. According to the analysis on the length of stay in Japan found that it affects the first factor "lack of confidence when reading Japanese", the second factor "satisfaction with one's pronunciation", the fourth factor "high motivation to improve pronunciation", and the sixth factor "Japan." It was confirmed that there was a significant difference from the factor of "interest in words". It was revealed that those who have stayed in Japan for more than 6 months are more satisfied with their pronunciation than those who have not, and are more motivated to improve their pronunciation and have a stronger interest in Japanese. On the other hand, people who have lived in Japan for less than 6 months are less confident when reading Japanese than those who do not. The results above can help professors who teach Japanese find out and address the fundamental reasons why learners find it difficult to learn Japanese. This is probably because it has become clear that interest in Japanese also led to a desire to improve pronunciation. In addition, by recognizing accurate pronunciation, one will become more confident when reading Japanese, and one should be able to continue studying alone after class. If the learner continues to study without being able to distinguish the correct pronunciation, communication may become difficult and interest in Japanese itself may be lost.
