本稿では、平叙文・終止におけるもくろみ動詞「してみる」の用法を出発点として、動詞条件形「してみると」の用法を確認する。そして、もはや試しの意味を表さない派生用法の教え方についてまとめる。 学習者の理解を助けるためには、もくろみ動詞の用法を教える際に、ひと文でなく、充分なコンテクストを与えることが大事である。なぜなら「してみる」の表す意味は、主体のもくろみに左右されるためである。 なお、動詞の活用形のうち、特定の語形に限定しつつ、指導を進めていく必要がある。なぜなら、「してみる」の用法は、その構文的な位置とその語形に影響されやすいためである。したがって、指導の際には、教える語形に順序をつけて進めていくことが大事である。
Abstract
In this paper, starting with the use of the conative verb shitemiru, the final form in declarative sentences, we have confirmed the cases in which shitemiruto, the conditional form of the verb shitemiru, expresses trial. And then we summarize how to teach the derivational usages that no longer express the meaning of trial. In order to improve the student's comprehension, it is essential to provide sufficient context rather than just one sentence when teaching the usages of the conative verb. This is so because the meaning conveyed by the conative verb shitemiru depends on what the actor is supposed to do. Additionally, it's important to focus the learners' instruction on specific word forms in a number of verb forms. This is due to the fact that syntactic position and forms of the verb are likely to have an influence on the verb's meaning and usage of shitemiru. Therefore, well-planned teaching strategies are required.
