敬語の誤用に関する一考察-「よろしかったでしょうか」という表現を中心に-

The aim of this study is to investigate not only the cause of discomfort but also semantic functions in its usage, with a focus on the linguistic phenomenon ‘Yoroshikattadeshouka’, which has been seen as a problem in recent years. Although the expression ‘Yoroshikattadeshouka’ is called ‘Weird Japanese’, it can be said that by using the past tense ‘-ta’, the speaker give great attention to the listener and predicts the listener's judgment. It is also considered that they provide services while showing a humble attitude. Therefore, ‘Yoroshikattadeshouka’ is an expression that dilutes the pastness of the auxiliary verb ‘-ta’ because it places importance on expressing the speaker's feelings. Due to the dilution of pastness in the auxiliary verb ‘-ta’ , those that have to read the tense structure of ‘Yoroshikattadeshouka’ from a momentary time range, and those that are evaluated or judged based on common sense or speaker's experience, tend to have a negative impression. However, ‘Yoroshikattadeshouka’ is a meaningful expression that demonstrates that the service is given with consideration to the listener, even though it cannot be generalized.
