This study, of which purpose is to investigate the meaning of dance in education project as an alternative of education policy in the times, was to illustrate concept of education project through education of the times and the meaning of dance in education project was classified into education community inside and outside a school for investigation from the aspect of dance education in the era. Dance in education project is not the one to express changing times but the one situated in changing times. As an alternative of school education aiming universality and standardization, self-recognition and self-expression which is core of dance education project were considered as a technique to observe abyss of ego and to express oneself through media of dance. Dance education as a technique to express one's own thought which is the objective of school dance education project means that it has self-expression media (or medium) besides language and letter. Expression technique at this time is distinguished from body movement technique and therefore, this expression technique is an ability to express one' thought as dance by being absorbed inside ego; such expression technique is same as reason, i.e. thinking; and at this time, body movement technique has competitive-free and non-pattern characteristics. Dance education project does not aim at reversal of regime for physical change or human visible and physical change but it has a meaning of each person's attitude facing inner world (or ego). Dance makes a person to have interest (or passion) in something which has been concealed or has not been seen and the dance education project has a meaning to introduce something which has been vaguely and hastily. We are in the times when it is required to discover potential capabilities which have been lost during the flow of the times and to recognize them through mental and emotional power. Dance education project in the times has a meaning to become involved in social issues through contemporary system planning in order to play a leading and enlightening role.
