본 연구에서는 문제중심학습의 틀에서 지리정보체계(GIS)와 연계한 창의적 체험 활동의 경험적 고려사항들을 분석하였다. 지리조사와 지리정보체계 등 지리 교과의 연구 방법론에 근거하여 지역의 지리적인 문제를 찾아서해결해 가는 과정을 학생⋅교사의 관점으로 구분하고 각각의 역할을 함께 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 도출된 창의적체험 활동을 통하여 학생들은 교과 활동에서 학습한 이론을 전문가의 수준에서 실세계에 적용하는 경험을 할 수 있다. 교사는 교과 활동과 본 연구에서 제시된 교과 외 교육활동의 연계를 통하여 교수학습 방법을 다양화함으로써 학생들의 수업 참여도를 높이고 교육의 질적 향상을 추구할 수 있다. 본 연구에서 제시하는 창의적 체험 활동은 지리교육과 연계되므로 학생과 교사의 적극적인 참여를 유도할 수 있고, 학생들은 연구결과를 대학 입시 등에 활용할수 있다.
Abstract
This study suggests a Hands-on activities linked to GIS education in high school geography education on the framework of project-based learning. Students experience the process of searching and solving geographical problems based on geographical research methods and geographic information systems. To this end, the roles that student and teacher should perform from each perspective are also presented. Through the Hands-on activities presented in this study, students will experience applying the theories learned in class to the real world at the level of experts. Teachers can diversify teaching and learning methods by linking curricular activities with extracurricular activities presented in this study. Through this, student’s participation in class will be improved. This creative activity model is linked with geography education. So it will help students participate positively in class. Also, students can use their research results for going to college.
