Abstract

Dance creation is a work that requires both accomplishments in humanities and artistic creativity. As an esthetic and psychological element it exerts the biggest impact on dance, music can be a guide for the audience for dance appreciation. Therefore dance music has its own property that is different from other music. The purpose of this study is to elucidate the uniqueness and the role of dance music. To this end, the study classified the role of dance music as follows: space - time creation, description of the psychology and character, framework of the choreography, provision of the energy, improvement of the feel and emotional foundations. The value of this research is to help understanding and analytic approach to the music.
