退溪 李滉의 <啓蒙傳疑>에 대한 體系的 硏究

Abstract

This paper is about Qimengchuanyi(啓蒙傳疑) among the works on Yixue(易學) by Toegye(退溪). Yi Hwang(李滉)’s Qimengchuanyi(啓蒙傳疑) had been written, for he concerned about the lack of knowledge about his Xiangshuyixue(象數易學) by tyros, having put Yiliyixue(義理易學) and Xiangshuyixue(象數易學) on the same level emulating Zhuzi(朱子)’s writings entitled Yixueqimeng(易學啓蒙). There were a lot of complicated numerological details; however, Toegye(退溪) had finished his Qimengchuanyi(啓蒙傳疑) because he thought that it was necessary to understand I-ching(周易). Toegye(退溪) had mentioned about Hetu(「河圖」) and Luoshu(「洛書」) in the chapter, Bentushu(「本圖書」). Here, he had explained it by means of Xiangshuyixue(象數易學) originated from the Han Dynasty. In Toegye(退溪)’s thinking, there were the parts which are necessary for understanding I-ching(周易). At the chapter, Yuanguahua(「原卦畫」), he had examined the changes in the divination symbols, and the patterns of good or ill luck. In this chapter, he had stressed that the reasons for difference of Shaozi(邵子)’s interpretations from that of Zhuzi(朱子), and that their conclusions were the same, especially Toegye(退溪) stressed that their conclusions were the same, although the views between Shaozi(邵子) and Zhuzi(朱子) were different. He had quoted the theory of Feifushuo(飛伏說) in Xiangshuyixue(象數易學) originated from the Han Dynasty. This is also the same as the one explained in the chapter, Bentushu(「本圖書」). In the chapter, Mingshice(「明蓍策」), he had spared more than half of the chapter for the law to figure out intercalary month. Such an effort and devotion of Toegye(退溪) had surely been a great help for the beginners who studied the I-ching(『周易』). In the chapter, Kaobianzhan(「考變占」), he mentioned about divination rules described in Zhuzi(朱子)’s book, Yixueqimeng(『易學啓蒙』), from which questions were raised. Meanwhile, he said that he would wait for someone who would discuss this subject in detail in future years, so then we are still looking for someone who will be able to discourse about it in a detailed manner. It will be required to look at Yi Hwang(李滉)’s Qimengchuanyi(啓蒙傳疑), in its broader aspects, not from the perspective only of his Xiangshuyixue(象數易學), for he had dealt with so many details about the issues in this book.
