楚亭 朴齊家 詩에 나타난 자부심과 내적 갈등 양상 - 檢書官 재임 기간의 작품을 중심으로 -

Abstract

Chojung Park Je-Ga, after his first experience as a retinue, expressed the cultural shocks in his book, the Theory of Buk-Hak. It was a chance for him to firm his mind, and as an inspector of archive, this experience has convulsed him with the anticipation that he can realize his ideal. Furthermore, in spite of class limitations, it was a chance of entry in the bureaucracy for him to radiate his discretion freely. With these psychological backgrounds included, lots of his prosperities and triumphs can be seen in his works about night duties and in his farewell poetries which are written during this period. Especially in his farewell poetries, he illustrated the moment of parting not as a moment of pity but a moment of delightful pleasure. And he described the scene as a space of landscapes and nature glorifying their tastes. As the inspector of archive, however, the compilation and the publication of books and continuous night duties dejected his aspiration and confidence which he cherished when he started this work. Early farewell poetries, which was written in his early years, was full of self-confidence as a governor of integrity, instead of grief and sorrow of parting. But, after the frustration of his desire to realize his ideal and being conscious of his situation, the scenes of delightful farewells became the scenes of sorrowful atmosphere. And looking the retirement, which was the avoidance of complicated life of a governor, with a piteous gaze, he himself keeps repeating his enervated will of retirement to the landscapes and nature. The aspects of the space of nature also has been changed completely. The nature became a space of isolated self, not a space of moral training and self-examination. These changes are the results of outer reflection of inner conflict which derived from the frustration of actualizing his ideal.
