본 연구는 대학생의 사회극 경험을 탐색하는 질적 연구이다. ○○대학교 ○○학과 학생들의 정신건강 향상 을 위해 1학년 전체 대학생 18명을 대상으로 사회극을 15회 실시하였다. 사회극에 참여한 대학생들은 각 회 기 후 그들의 생각과 느낌을 소감문으로 작성하였고 15회기가 모두 종결된 후에는 인터뷰를 통해 사회극에 대 한 그들의 경험을 나누었다. 자료에 대한 주제분석을 실시하여 26개의 하위범주와 6개의 주제로 범주화하였 다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 사회극에 참여한 대학생들은 사회극을 통해서 첫째, ‘처음에는 사회극이 긴장되었다.’ 둘째, ‘「나」가 아닌 「우리」를 깨달았다.’ 셋째, ‘타인을 이해하고 존중하게 되었다.’ 넷째, ‘일상생 활에 변화가 일어났다.’ 다섯째, ‘나를 이해하고 존중하게 되었다.’ 마지막으로, ‘치유를 경험하였다.’ 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 사회극을 대학생들의 정신건강을 위한 교내 예술교육의 일환으로 발전시킬 수 있는 자료로 제공하는데 의의가 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was is to examine the experiences of college student’s participation in sociodrama. A department of a college asked this researcher to conduct sociodrama for freshmen at- tending the college to improve their mental health, and fifteen sessions of sociodrama were con- ducted for 18 freshmen college students. The college students who participated in the sociodrama submitted their reviews in which they wrote down their thoughts and feelings for each session. The students were also interviewed after all the sociodrama sessions were completed. A thematic analysis was conducted on the data and categorized into 22 subcategories and 6 themes. The results of this study are as follows. The college students who participated in the sociodrama found that, through the sociodrama, first, they felt nervious about Sociodrama in the beginning. Second, they realized 'us' rather than 'me'. Third, they came to understand and respect others. Fourth, they experienced changes in their everyday life. Fifth, they came to understand and respect ‘me’. Finally, they experi- enced the healing of stress and trauma. Based on these findings, it is meaningful to include socio- drama as data that can be developed as part of the curriculum for mental health of college students.
