본 연구는 K-Culture 수업 참여가 외국인 유학생의 문화적응 스트레스에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석하였다. 충북권 소재 충청 대학교 외국인 유학생 40명(비교집단 20명, 실험집단 20명)을 대상으로, 사전·사후설문조사를 실시하였다. 문화적응 스트레스는 35문항으로 구성된 척도를 통해 측정되었으며, 대응표본 t-검정, 독립표본 t-검정, 이원혼합분산분석(mixed ANOVA)을 통해 분석하였다. 실험집단은 수업 참여 전 평균75.00점(표준편차 13.21)에서 수업 후 59.45점(표준편차 10.76)으로 스트레스가 유의미하게 감소하였으며(t = 14.52, p < .001), 비교집단은 사전 111.05점(표준편차 11.27)에서 사후 130.40점(표준편차 8.79)으로스트레스가 증가하였다(t = -8.39, p < .001). 이원혼합분산분석 결과, 집단 주효과(F = 379.11, p < .001, η² = .833)와 집단 × 시점 상호작용 효과(F = 45.701, p < .001, η² = .376)가 모두 유의하게 나타났다. 본 연구는 K-Culture 수업이 외국인 유학생의 문화적응 스트레스 완화에 효과적임을 실증적으로 확인하였으며, 문화기반 교육 프로그램의 실천적 가치와 확장 가능성을 제시하였다.
Abstract
This study empirically examined the effect of participation in a K-Culture course on acculturative stress among international students. The study involved 40 international students (20 in the control group and 20 in the experimental group) enrolled at Chungcheong University, located in the Chungbuk region of South Korea, and conducted pre- and post-surveys. Acculturative stress was as sessed using a 35-item scale, and the data were analyzed using paired-sample t-tests, in dependent-sample t-tests, and two-way mixed ANOVA. In the experimental group, the mean accul turative stress score significantly decreased from 75.00 (SD = 13.21) before the course to 59.45 (SD = 10.76) after the course (t = 14.52, p < .001), whereas the control group showed a significant increase from 111.05 (SD = 11.27) to 130.40 (SD = 8.79) (t = -8.39, p < .001). The mixed ANOVA revealed sig nificant main effects of group (F = 379.11, p < .001, η² = .833) and significant group-by-time inter action effects (F = 45.701, p < .001, η² = .376). These findings provide empirical evidence that partic ipation in a K-Culture course is effective in reducing acculturative stress among international stu dents, and highlight the practical value and potential scalability of culture-based educational programs.
