본 연구는 생성형 AI 시대에 예술교육이 직면한 전환기적 과제와 역량 강화 방안을 탐구한다. AI의 등장은 예술의 본질, 창작 주체, 감상 방식에 근본적 변화를 가져왔다. 인류 문명사의 중요한 변곡점인 사피엔스5차 혁명과 디지털 비트 문명 시대의 예술교육은 단순한 기능 전수에서 벗어나 창의적 구조 설계와 융합적사고를 촉진하는 방향으로 나아가야 한다. 연구자는 예술창작의 기본 구조를 이루는 10대 원소(신체, 소리, 형태, 색채, 문자, 숫자, 시간, 공간, 움직임, 에너지)와 9대 유희 요소(시, 서, 화, 무, 문, 가, 무, 연, 희)를중심으로 AI 시대 예술교육의 방향 및 교육 역량 강화 전략을 연구하였다. AI가 예술창작과 감상에 미치는영향과 인간-기계 협업의 새로운 창작 모델을 탐구하였으며, 전통적 결과 중심 교육에서 창의적 설계 과정중심 교육으로의 인식 전환을 제안한다. 또한, AI 시대에 요구되는 예술교육자의 역할 변화와 학생 주도형융합 교육 실천 전략의 필요성을 강조했다. 예술교육은 ‘창작 과정의 구조화와 메타-설계 역량’을 함양하고창의성, 비판적 사고, 윤리적 감수성 등을 향상하는 교육으로 전환되어야 한다. 교수자는 단순 지식 전달자가 아닌 촉진자·동반자·메타디자이너로서 학생의 창의적 탐구를 안내해야 한다. 본 연구는 AI 시대 예술교육이 기술적 도구 활용을 넘어 인간과 AI의 공진 속에서 새로운 창조적 가능성과 철학적 성찰을 확장하는 계기로 작용할 것이다.
Abstract
This study explores the transitional challenges and capacity-building measures faced by art education in the era of generative AI. The emergence of AI has brought fundamental changes to the essence of art, the creative subject, and modes of appreciation. To adapt to the fifth revolution of Homo sapiens and the digital bit civilization, which represent critical turning points in human history, art education must move beyond mere skill transmission toward fostering creative structural design and integrative thinking. The researcher investigates the direction and capacity enhancement strategies for art educa tion in the AI era, focusing on the ten fundamental elements of artistic creation (body, sound, form, color, text, number, time, space, movement, and energy) and the nine major play elements (poetry, cal ligraphy, painting, martial arts, literature, song, dance, performance, and play). The study reviews AI’s impact on art creation and appreciation as well as new collaborative creative models between humans and machines, proposing a shift from traditional outcome-based education to process-centered educa tion emphasizing creative structural design. Furthermore, it concretely outlines the changing roles of art educators and student-driven integrative educational practices required in the AI era. Art education should transition to cultivating "structured creative processes and meta-design competencies," enhancing creativity, critical thinking, and ethical sensitivity, while educators should serve not merely as knowl edge transmitters but as facilitators, companions, and meta-designers guiding students’ creative inquiry. This study envisions AI-era art education as a catalyst that transcends technical tool use to expand new creative possibilities and philosophical reflection within the co-evolution of humans and AI.
