ADHD, 수학영재, 과학영재, 일반아동의 창의성 비교

초록

본 연구는 53명의 ADHD, 55명의 수학영재, 51명의 과학영재, 133명의 일반 아동을 대상으로 ADHD, 영재, 일반 아동들 간의 창의성을 비교하였다. 본 연구 결과에 따르면 과학영재가 수학영재, ADHD, 일반 아동보다 유창성과 독창성에서 매우 유의하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 수학영재는 제목의 추상성과 성급한 종결에서 과학영재보다 높았지만 성급한 종결에의 저항에서만 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. ADHD 아동은 유창성을 제외한 모든 영역에서 집단들 중에서 가장 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 유창성에서는 일반 아동 보다 유의하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 영재들 간(수학영재-과학영재), 영재, ADHD와 일반 아동들 간의 창의적 특성 및 향후 영재 및 ADHD 판별에 대한 시사점을 논의하였다.

Abstract

This study investigated the performance of creativity among ADHD, gifted, and normal students. The sample consisted of 53 ADHD, 55 Math Gifted, 51 Science Gifted, and 133 normal children (146 males and 146 females). Results indicated that there are significant differences in fluency, originality, elaboration, and resistance to premature closure among groups except for abstractness of title. The students gifted in science were highest in fluency, originality and elaboration. However the students gifted in math were higher in resistance to premature closure than ADHD, gifted in science, and general students. ADHD students were higher in fluency but lower in originality and elaboration than general students.
