영산회상곡(靈⼭會上曲)의 법화사상(法華思想)적 해석

Abstract

Yeongsan-Hoisang Suite ( 靈山會上曲 ) is the most representative traditional Jung-ak ( 正樂 ) , its original suite ( 原曲 ) being a piece of buddhist vocal music that has lyrics for the ‘Yeongsan-HoisangBul-Bosal’ ( 靈山會相佛菩薩 ) . As time goes by, lyrics have gone but it has handed down a form of instrumental suité music that includes Sangyeongsan, Jeoungyeongsan, Saeyeongsan, Garak-dauri, Samhyun-dodri, Hahyun-dodri, Yeombul-dodri, Ta-ryeong, Kunak in it now. The source of the original suite corresponds to Sangyeongsan, which illustrates the Yeongsan meeting where the Buddha preached the Lotus Sutra ( 法華經 ) . The Lotus Sutra ( 法華經 ) is a Mahayana sutra that the Buddha said about. It contains the main thought of exposing the expedient for revealing the real ( 開權顯實 ) . This paper has discussed what the Buddha wanted to give a message to us in connection with Yeongsan-Hoisang Suite ( 靈山會上曲 ) by studying the relationship of the Lotus Sutra’s thought and using the expedient ( ⽅ 便 ) for revealing the real ( 眞實 ) of the Lotus Sutra. To seek the Yeongsan-Hoisang Suite ( 靈山會上曲 ) for the aspect of the thought of exposing the expedient for revealing the real ( 開權顯實 ) , the original suite is the real part of Yeongsan-Hoisang Suite ( 靈山會上曲 ) . In addition, the suites that variated from the original suite can be expedient to illustrate the original suite. Although the original suite variated into many suites according to the transition of ages, all of the expedient suites that variated illustrate the original suite for another way. The suite that variated from the original suite and itself is just a different kind of expression. It is actually only one thing in ‘real.’ All of the things are real in the Lotus Sutra, revealing the real ( 眞實 ) . It has a little bit of difference in its relative aspects, but all things are equal in their implicit aspects. What the Buddha told us in the Yeongsan-meeting ( 靈山會 ) is thought and using the expedient ( ⽅便 ) for revealing the real ( 眞實 ) , which implies the truth that everything is real in its actuality.
