청소년의 협동심에 대한 부모의 자율성 지지와 구조제공의 영향: 성별 조절효과를 중심으로

최근 종단 연구에 따르면 한국 청소년의 협동심이 중학교 1학년부터 고등학교 졸업까지 계속 감소하는 것으로 나타나 우려를 낳고 있다. 본 연구는 자기결정이론을 기반으로 부모의 자율성 지지와 구조제공이 청소년의 협동심에 미치는 영향과 성별 조절 역할을 규명하고자 하였다. 한국아동·청소년패널조사(KCYPS) 2023년도 자료 중 결측치가 없는 2,242명의 자율성 지지, 구조제공, 협동심 척도 응답을 분석하였다. SPSS 26.0과 AMOS 26을 이용하여 확인적 요인분석, 위계적 회귀분석 및 단순기울기 분석을 실시하였으며, 상호작용 분석에서 다중공선성 해결을 위해 평균중심화를 적용하였다. 연구 결과, 부모의 자율성 지지와 구조제공 모두 청소년의 협동심에 유의한 정적 영향을 미쳤다(R² = .328). 특히 자율성 지지의 효과는 여학생에게서 더 강하게 나타나는 성별 조절 효과가 확인된 반면(β = .075, p < .05), 구조제공은 성별에 관계없이 일관된 효과를 보였다. 이는 자기결정이론의 기본 심리욕구 충족이 협동심 발달에 중요한 역할을 하며, 자율성 지지의 효과는 성별 사회화 과정에 따라 차별적으로 나타남을 시사한다. 청소년의 협동심 함양을 위해 부모의 자율성 지지와 구조제공이 균형 있게 제공되어야 하며, 성별 특성을 고려한 차별화된 접근과 종단 연구가 필요하다.
Abstract
Recent longitudinal studies have reported that Korean adolescents' cooperativeness continues to decrease from middle school through high school graduation. This study examined the effects of parental autonomy support and providing structure on adolescents' cooperativeness and the moderating role of gender based on Self-Determination Theory. Data from 2,242 participants from the Korean Children & Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS) 2023 were analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis, hierarchical regression analysis, and simple slope analysis with SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 26. Mean-centering was applied to resolve multicollinearity in interaction analysis. Results revealed that both parental autonomy support and providing structure had significant positive effects on cooperativeness (R² = .328). Autonomy support showed stronger effects on girls than boys (β = .075, p < .05), while providing structure demonstrated consistent effects regardless of gender. These findings suggest that basic psychological needs satisfaction plays important roles in cooperativeness development, with autonomy support effects varying by gender. For fostering adolescents' cooperativeness, balanced provision of parental autonomy support and providing structure is necessary, along with differentiated approaches considering gender characteristics.
