초록
본고는 토착화 신학의 논리를 구성하는 기초가 어디에 있는가를 묻는다. 문화현상에 대한 적절한 신학적 통찰을 제시해야 할 토착화론의 과제를 위해 토착화의 논의지평을 재발견하고자 하는 것이다. 한국 최초의 신학자인 최병헌 신학의 자리는 종교문화에 대한 기독교 신앙의 변증에 있었다. 이것은 독일적 혹은 유대적 기독교라는 작금의 민족문화와 신앙경험 사이의 관계설정에 있어 토착화 신학의 중요한 모델이 될 수 있다. 문화에 관련된 신학이론은 문화적 상이함을 구별할 뿐 아니라 그 계기들을 통해서 신학적 낯섬이 드러나도록 해야 한다. 그러면 문화적 상이함에 불과한 것을 주제화하는 토착화 주류모델의 한계가 극복되고, 교회와 신학의 근거를 이루는 신앙경험에 기초한 토착화론의 새로운 가능성을 모색할 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
This paper is to ask where to find the foundation which constitutes a logic of the indegenization theology. It is to rediscover the horizon of an indigenization argument for the task of an indigenization theory which should present the relevant theological insight to the cultural phenomenon. The theological place of Choi, Byung Hun, the first Korean theologian was an apologetic of Christian faith on the religious cultures. It can be an important model of the indigenization theology in setting up the relationship between the national cultures which is German or Jewish Christianity and a faith experience. The theological theory related to a culture should not only tell a cultural difference, but also present the theological strange through this momentum. Then, it can overcome not only the limits of the main model of indegenization which makes merely the cultural difference to be subject matter, but also explore a new possibility of an indigenization based on faith experience which makes the foundation of the church and the theology.
