The Effect of Cultural Tourism Interpretation on the Tourist's Satisfaction - Case Study of Interpretation Tour at Jeonju Hanok Village

The purpose of this research is to suggest appropriate directions for desirable cultural tourism interpretation through the investigation of the effect of cultural tourism interpretation on the tourist's satisfaction in case of interpretation tour at Jeonju Hanok Village. This research focus on the comparative analysis of the difference of the tourists' satisfaction classified by their demographic characteristics in two aspects of interpretation contents and interpretation method. The results of this study for the effect of cultural tourism interpretation on the tourist's satisfaction are summarized as follows. First, in aspect of interpretation contents, credibly accurate and detailed contents which tourist can easily understand and gain beneficial informations from are positively correlative with tourists' satisfaction. Second, in aspect of interpretation method, suitable methods for a vivid description and the improvement of tourist's understanding and interest are positively correlative with tourists' satisfaction. In conclusion tourists are confirmed to be quite satisfied with interpretation tour at Jeonju Hanok Village. And tourists are investigated to prefer educational interpretation contents which are associated with useful knowledges about many historic ruins and traditional monuments. Various audio-visual media and marvelous interpretation methods which can give tourists excitements and impressions are confirmed to be necessary to maximize the effect of cultural tourism interpretation through the improvement of tourist's understanding and interest.
Abstract
